A month in Sweden by Loukas
Hej hej! It is Loukas again and I have been working as a volunteer in Fjället for more than a month now!
This month taught me that every person works, shares and communicates with it's own rhythm and we should give enough space and opportunities for everyone to express themselves. It was a month full of joyful moments such as a swimming event, some social discussions, planning Liseberg for Halloween and many more. Liseberg is a huge amusement park and I am so ready to visit this and have fun with kids!
Living here in Sweden has been peaceful and nice for me, as I enjoy nature a lot and I try things I would never do in Greece. For instance, I play beach volleyball every Wednesday, I am taking a big walk every day no matter the weather and I am also trying the food and desserts of the locals! It is fun and the weather seems to be nice and allows me to do many activities and explore!
I really hope that I am healthy, active and social for the next months. It is important for me that kids approach me and we are developing a closer relationship. Fjället is trying to make an impact on the local society and I am proud that I can be active as well! Let's see where this beautiful journey will lead us!
My personal thoughts are that we are stronger than we believe and we can achieve more things than we actually think! A good spirit, a big smile and a warm atmosphere are the keys to a successful Fjället evening, amongst many others!
Thank you for you time,
Loukas Papageorgiou
